Holly Bailey Update...

Here is the latest from February 26th 2008

Hey everyone. Today has been somewhat better than yesterday thank goodness! I woke up this morning and they took the NG tube out (Whoo Hoo) and started me on clear liquids. If i cant tolerate this or full liquides they will hafta do another central line to start TPN (nutrients and fat content in a bag). Meanwhile i hafta wait til next Monday before they are even gonna try to dialate the blockage again because it is still so inflammed from the last 3 dialations. If this doesnt work we are seriously gonna discuss the colostomy bag. Even tho that means 2 more surgeries and me wearin a bag for 3 months i feel it is what i need to get better and begin a somewhat normal lifestyle again. I just want to be able to stay home and take care of my Papaw, and eat!!! Anyways, thanks for all the messages calls, etc. My cousin Matthew (Fuzzy) is commin from PA to visit today so i am pretty excited!!! I will post another bulliten in a few days, sooner if sumthin newer develops. You can leave messages on here or my phone, my cell for those who missed it is 304-663-7221....please continue prayers for myself, my family, and my docs!!!

Hello All;
I talked with Charlie this evening and he said Holly was having a procedure to relieve a bowel obstruction at 1:00 PM Monday, March 3 2008. This is a balloon procedure, similar to what she had the last time.

Please continue prayer for her and all her family.

Ok so for the past week i have tried to post bullitens and this computer up here sucks at life! Let's hope this works...i have a gazillion people to reply to sorry guys! Anyways, unfortunately there hasnt been much change they tried the balloon dialition and it didnt do any different, i can eat some now and i only get sick every now and again, but the prob is my bowel is still dangerously destended (AKA really big) so...I think the plan is to hang out over the weekend and see if it'll decompress some and if not, i honestly dont know what will happen because if theres another sort of blockage they cant find it! Please keep up the prayers I am still by myself but i am makin it! Pray for my Papaw too hes sick and in the hospital at home now too! I will hopefully talk to ya'll soon, miss ya tons!!!

Subject: UPDATE 3-15
Body: hey everyone...long story short the past week has been very challenging with the docs...we've basically been lied too all week and not yet gotten a straight story as to whats goin on...we've told them our concerns of malabsorption because i continue to lose weight even when i am able to eat some, but now i am nauseous, in a ton of pain, and still cant eat a lot of i can eat at all...last nite we finally got somewhere...after layin in bed for 8 hrs with no pain meds because i threw up the pills (again) and they wouldnt switch it back to IV meds, I finally went to the bathroom and what came out? all the pills that they had been givin me the past 2 days that i was able to keep down didnt absorb, they were right there in the toilet (not meanin to be gross, but theres no other way to say that really lol) SO the on call doc finally came up and admited there was a big problem and changed all my meds back to IV...the plan now is still up in the air i will know more monday, theirs been mention of exploritory surgery and tryin new meds, as far as what tests their gonna do i dont know yet. i will repost when i know more. please continue to pray for me, my fam, and the docs! this is day 22 up here by myself :-(

Hello everyone! Well i hafta say that even though it has been spent in the hospital, this is the best Easter I have EVER had! I had a visit from my friend Kelley, a suprise visit from my daddy, brother, and sis Tabitha, and 7 of my favs from church! and last I had a visit from my bestest buds Sean and Chris! This all happened yesterday, Tabitha has some great pics so as soon as i get home i will have her upload them on my page so everyone can see! And today I have gotten lotsa calls and messages and a basket from a complete stranger who knew I was here by myself! and she went all out! lotions, polish, bath and bodyworks stuff, magazines, candy, you name it! Everyone who walks past my room stops and looks because I have SO many presents and Easter baskets its just unreal! I want to thank every one of you SO much for all the prayers and support and calls and visits and EVERYTHING!!! As for when I get to come home? Not a clue...I meet with the GI team tomorrow to see what the next step is, I will update everyone as soon as i know! I hope you all had a blessed Easter!
